David M. McInnis, CFP®, CIMA®, MBA Managing Director
David McInnis MBA, CFP®, CIMA®, who grew up in the Carolinas and Georgia, is a Managing Director at ACG Wealth. He credits his family’s medical background for his structured, analytical, and research-oriented approach to investing and advising.
A graduate of Georgia Tech and its nationally-ranked business school with an MBA in Global Finance and Economics, David maintains the following accreditations: CFP® – CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and CIMA® Certified Investment Management Analyst®, a graduate level program taught and administered at the Wharton School of Business.
Before joining ACG Wealth, David was a financial consultant for A.G. Edwards, now Wells Fargo Advisors, where he earned the firm’s Albert Gallatin Award. Next he joined Morgan Stanley as a Senior Investment Consultant and Senior Portfolio Manager.
A 15-year investment industry veteran, David provides wealth advisory services to private clients including families, retirees, and professionals. David also is one of the primary managing partners responsible for advising clients in our Raleigh/Durham office, which specializes in wealth management for physicians and executives in the surrounding Research Triangle.
David is dedicated to helping his community be a better place to live and work. His contributions include fundraising, serving on the board of directors for local charities, and being a very active member at Perimeter Presbyterian. In his spare time, he enjoys golfing, college athletics, and traveling. David and his wife Christina reside in Suwanee, Georgia.
